Oliva Cafe

The politics editors at Kipp Harbor Times were covering the memorial development of former president Dwight D. Eisenhower. They needed a visual that conveyed the differing opinions surrounding the story.

 Oliva Cafe is a local renowned restaurant in Bethlehem, CT specializing in northern Italian cuisine with West Banks influences. The restaurant was in desperate need of a redesign to feature fresh ingredients and to showcase their warm, welcoming environment  TARGET AUDIENCE   Primary:  Adults 30-40 years old, medium income of 64K a year. Prefer to live in the countryside and commute long distance to their jobs. Concerned about costs and very self sufficient. Will usually own their own garden which they will use produce from. They will most likely be blue-collared workers with some college education.   Secondary:  Adults 40-60 years old, medium income of over 68k a year. Ex-urbanites or second home owners who prefer quality over quantity and use technology heavily to meet their needs (find home services, buy needed items, etc). They will most likely be small business owners to medium sized business owners with a bachelors degree.    GOALS  Two main goals identified, which are manifested in the new design are to convert views into  reservations and to solicit  gift card purchases.
