Arno was a lithograph 20 print series based on a photograph on my time in Florence, Italy during an exchange program.
First a drawing was created from a photograph I had taken overlooking the Arno River from a bridge. The drawing was further developed onto lithographic stone with a grease pencil, grease crayon, exact knife, and water. Acid is then applied to the stone which will etch the image into the stone. The stone is then cleaned and prepared with ink to print. A print is finally create with a printing press with high pressure to show fine details in the drawing.
